Details: Village Aid supports small-scale self-help projects in poor rural communities in West Africa. We aim to empower people by giving them the skills, funds and self-confidence to put their own initiatives into action and our projects are run by our Africa based partners, staffed by nationals of the country concerned.

We maximise efficient use of funds by matching all donations to Village Aid to grants available from the European Community, Comic Relief and others. At home we don’t waste money on junk mail; rather we look for environmentally efficient ways of contacting people. We place our supporters at the heart of the charity and see a partnership that runs from each individual supporter all the way to Africa.

All gifts and donations are most welcome and we also have opportunities for volunteering.
